The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated in its regional report released on Thursday that the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia currently have a "limited" impact on the Saudi economy, as Saudi oil shipments continue, and domestic demand remains strong with a robust public sector. However, the IMF expects the Saudi economy to contract by 3.3% this year, primarily due to the US-Israeli war against Iran, which began on February 28. The IMF also projects that the entire Gulf region's economy will contract by 4.8% in 2026.
