An Israeli court on Wednesday evening ordered the release of nine Israeli settler suspects, previously arrested for allegedly assaulting American journalists and European diplomats in the West Bank, placing them under house arrest. Israeli police stated that one suspect remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing. This follows calls from the United States, France, Belgium, and Poland for Israel to crack down on settler violence.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres posted on X on Thursday that the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories is "out of control," with Palestinians "continuing to suffer daily attacks by Israeli settlers," and journalists and diplomats also being targeted. The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported on Thursday that 409 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinian farmers and their land were recorded in October, including 317 settler attacks and 92 Israeli army attacks.
