Password manager 1Password has launched a new feature that allows AI agents to log into accounts on behalf of users without direct access to passwords.
1Password on Thursday launched "1Password for Agents," a feature that allows users to authorize AI agents to log into their personal accounts without directly exposing passwords to the agents. When an agent initiates a login, it sends a unique digital key to 1Password for identity verification. After the user receives an alert and confirms, 1Password fills in the credentials to complete the login. This feature supports agents such as Claude Duet, OpenAI Dots, ChatGPT Work, Grok Bot, and Meta Muse.
