According to TechCrunch AI, ride-hailing company inDrive has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese autonomous driving company Pony.ai and NVIDIA to launch Robotaxi trials in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in the first half of 2027. Under the cooperation plan, Pony.ai will provide its Gen-7 Robotaxi, inDrive will operate it through its ride-hailing application, and NVIDIA will supply AI technology, including the Hyperion platform and Halos safety system. This collaboration aims to explore autonomous driving technology markets outside of the United States and China, and leverage Astana's harsh winter conditions as a testing environment.
