The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a review report stating that as the private markets grow rapidly in size and complexity, some firms have failed to adequately identify conflicts of interest or update their control measures. The report highlighted recurring weaknesses in areas such as cross-fund transfers, multi-party transactions, gifts and hospitality, and information barriers. The FCA requires firms to strengthen governance, oversight, and conflict management to ensure fair outcomes for investors.
