Germany's crude oil and product stockpiling agency, EBV, launched a tender on October 23 to sell diesel, heating oil, and crude oil from its strategic reserves for the first time, in response to energy supply pressures. According to Reuters, this marks Germany's first actual implementation since G7 nations reached an agreement on coordinated reserve releases in early October. German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche stated earlier this month that Germany has pledged to release up to 15 million barrels of diesel, heating oil, and crude oil, representing the largest contribution among European countries.
