Yemen's armed forces, fighting for the internationally recognized government, claim to have carried out air strikes against Houthi forces at the abandoned Sofitel hotel in Taiz, according to military spokesperson Colonel Majid al-Nuzaili. Al-Nuzaili stated that the strikes targeted Houthi tanks and artillery east of the city of Taiz, neutralizing a command-and-control center and destroying two tanks. The action was in response to the Houthi Militia's targeting of civilians.
