UK Labour MPs Clive Lewis and Lara Bird stated that Israeli authorities on Monday denied them and other delegates entry at the West Bank border, detaining and interrogating them for eight hours. Lewis posted on X that they had planned to attend the second assembly of the "Progressive International" in Ramallah, a conference aimed at opposing Israel's occupation of Palestine. They also planned to accompany Palestinian farmers facing Israeli settler attacks during the olive harvest. Lewis said that despite "doing nothing wrong," they were detained and interrogated for over eight hours. Bird wrote on X that she would continue to do everything possible to pressure the Netanyahu government.
