Zcash co-founder Sean Bowe has proposed halting the automatic funding of the privacy network's community grants program, stating that its treasury has reached approximately $125 million, sufficient to cover expenses for many years to come. According to his draft proposal, these funds (representing 8% of newly minted ZEC) would be reallocated to a reserve for future miner rewards.
