Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that China is highly concerned about the situation in the Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, and Horn of Africa regions, and deeply worried about the protracted conflict and its spillover effects. China calls on all relevant parties to resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation, and to achieve a sustainable ceasefire as soon as possible. Guo Jiakun further pointed out that China has always been committed to promoting peace talks, and will soon dispatch a special envoy to visit the aforementioned regional countries to strengthen communication with relevant parties, facilitate engagement and dialogue among all sides, de-escalate tensions, and prevent the situation from further deteriorating.
