Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that recognizing and accepting the Tokyo Trials was a prerequisite for post-war Japan to rejoin the international community. He warned that 80 years later, Japanese right-wing forces are disregarding the historical verdict of the Tokyo Trials, strenuously denying and even glorifying their aggressions, promoting a mistaken view of history, and openly deifying war criminals. He urged the international community to jointly resist these actions. China is willing to work with all peace-loving countries and peoples worldwide to uphold the belief in the rule of law and peace, firmly safeguard historical truth, maintain the post-war international order, and defend international fairness and justice.
