Investment firm Seawolf Capital announced it is shorting cloud computing company CoreWeave
Investment firm Seawolf Capital announced it is shorting cloud computing company CoreWeave. The firm was founded by three traders known from "The Big Short" book and film. Co-founder Vincent Daniel stated that the short position began with an analysis of CoreWeave's business model. Seawolf Capital noted that CoreWeave leases AI computing power supported by high-end GPUs, but the firm believes the economic life of GPUs may be shorter than that of oil rigs, aircraft, or shipping equipment, and that the supply of competing chip computing power is rapidly increasing.
