Anchorage Digital Bank partners with Bitso for stablecoin custody services
Anchorage Digital Bank has expanded its partnership with Latin American crypto platform Bitso to provide stablecoin custody services for the US-Mexico remittance corridor. This agreement extends Anchorage Digital Bank's custody services to both ends of the US-Mexico remittance channel, including custody for Bitso's Mexican Peso stablecoin, MXNB, and supporting Bitso's listing of Anchorage-issued USD stablecoins, USDPT and USAT. This initiative aims to leverage stablecoins to enhance the efficiency of hundreds of billions of dollars in annual remittances, replacing traditional bank transfers and cash withdrawal networks. Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley stated that this marks the beginning of stablecoins processing real money at scale.
