Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced a series of significant developments at the company's flagship Swell conference, marking its tenth anniversary. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent made a surprise video appearance to discuss digital asset regulation. Ripple will expand its partnership with Robinhood, integrating its financial infrastructure into Robinhood's client products and internal systems. Additionally, the collaboration with BNY Mellon will extend to institutional digital asset custody and tokenized trade finance solutions based on RLUSD, XRP, and the XRP Ledger. Ripple also launched its "24/7 Returns" service and received final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish Ripple National Trust Bank, which will manage RLUSD reserves and institutional digital asset custody. Garlinghouse stated that this was merely "Day 0" of the Swell conference, with the main event scheduled for October 28-29.
