HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), an intermediate holding company for HD Hyundai’s shipbuilding businesses, reported on Wednesday that its third-quarter operating profit rose 37.3% from a year earlier to 1.45 trillion won ($1.08 billion). This increase was driven by higher ship prices and strong earnings from its engine and offshore businesses. For the July-September period, revenue also increased by 9.3% year-on-year to 8.29 trillion won, according to a regulatory filing.
