Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has pledged a portion of his company shares to charity, with 80% of his personal equity designated for philanthropic causes, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing. Amodei and six other founders each hold over 200 million shares, which could be worth billions if Anthropic reaches a valuation of $1 trillion. Amodei also disclosed that, in addition to his directly held 240.6 million shares, another 4.6 million shares are subject to a voting proxy, granting him the right to exercise voting power over these shares donated to a donor-advised fund (DAF). Anthropic will also match billions of dollars in employee share donations.
