Polygon integrates Solana into its payment stack, linking bank accounts, crypto, and global payouts
Polygon Labs has added Solana to its Open Money Stack, enabling businesses to use a single integration for bank account funding, cross-chain transfers, stablecoin transactions, and global payouts. This move follows Solana's Alpenglow consensus upgrade, which reduced transaction finality to 150 milliseconds. The platform also connects with other networks like Ethereum and TRON, and Kira is among the first customers utilizing the Solana integration to facilitate transfers between dollars and stablecoins for supplier payments. The integration comes as the total supply of USD-pegged stablecoins approaches $290 billion, with Solana processing over $5.5 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2026. Earlier this month, Polygon acquired Coinme, expanding its money transmission licenses.
