U.S. voice AI company Deepgram has acquired Daily, the maker of Pipecat, to strengthen its voice AI infrastructure. Deepgram stated on Thursday that it is committed to keeping Pipecat open source. Daily had raised over $62 million from investors including Tiger Global, while Deepgram achieved unicorn status earlier this year with a $130 million Series C funding round.
