Changpeng Zhao (CZ) addressed the suspected hacking incident at Binance, confirming the safety of user funds and stating that it indeed appears to be a hack targeting Binance. He thanked Tether and Circle for swiftly freezing the relevant funds, with Tether freezing approximately $971 million in USDT and Circle freezing about $823 million in USDC. Changpeng Zhao emphasized that while he no longer manages Binance.com, as a shareholder, he expects all user funds to be fully covered.
