Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor warned users who purchased its devices from reseller CryptoBilis to transfer funds to a new wallet as soon as possible on October 30. This warning came after an Indonesian customer reported on October 28 that they found a hardware implant in a Trezor Safe 5 device purchased from CryptoBilis via the Tokopedia platform in August 2026. The implant was described as an additional circuit board with a cellular module and antenna, capable of reading screen content (including wallet backups) and transmitting it over a mobile network.

Trezor stated that while they have not yet received the device for verification, based on the customer's description and video interview, the company considers the report credible and decided to issue an immediate warning. Trezor had already removed CryptoBilis from its reseller list on October 9. Previously, another hardware wallet manufacturer, Ledger, had also investigated fund losses reported by customers who purchased devices from this reseller and found similar implants. Trezor emphasized that it has not yet received any reports of fund losses from CryptoBilis buyers.
