Israel Extradites Alleged Nomad Bridge Exploiter to US Over $2.8M Theft
Israel has extradited Israeli-Russian citizen Alexander Block to the United States to face charges over the alleged theft of about $2.8 million from crypto bridge Nomad. Block was arrested in May 2025 and indicted in August 2023 on multiple counts, including computer fraud and money laundering. Israel's Supreme Court rejected his appeal, ruling that exploiting a programming flaw can constitute unlawful computer intrusion, even if the software technically permitted the action. The exploit in August 2022 led to Nomad losing over $186 million in user funds.
