Musk retweeted a post outlining a vision to build petawatt-scale computing infrastructure on the Moon, planning to leverage Tesla Optimus robots, humans, and lunar-native manufacturing to construct the massive computing infrastructure, and then use electromagnetic mass drivers to launch it into deep space. Because the Moon has no atmosphere and only one-sixth of Earth's gravity, electromagnetic mass drivers can use electricity instead of traditional chemical rocket propulsion to accelerate payloads to escape velocity, enabling a thousandfold increase in computing scale from terawatts to petawatts.
