Hackers hijacked over a dozen DeFi websites, all registered with Name.com, stealing approximately $138,000 in crypto assets.
Hackers hijacked over a dozen DeFi websites late Friday, using them to drain visitors' crypto wallets, The Block reported. All 12 hijacked website domains were registered through Name.com, according to public registration records, suggesting the domain registrar may have been compromised. As of now, The Block has tracked approximately $138,000 in stolen funds via on-chain data. Security firm Blockaid identified 12 hijacked websites, including Pickle Finance, Origami Finance, and FluxBeam, 10 of which were suspended by the registrar by 8:32 AM ET on Saturday. Some affected projects have pointed fingers at cloud infrastructure company Vercel, while Name.com has only publicly responded by stating that an abuse report form needs to be filled out.
