Nikkei Asia reported that foreign companies and institutions are actively seeking capital from Japanese investors, driven by a global fundraising boom sparked by AI hyperscalers. From April to September this year, the total value of JPY-denomdenominated bonds issued by foreign entities reached a record $16 billion. Companies such as Google, Foxconn, and Zurich Insurance have already raised funds through this method to support their AI infrastructure development.
