Intel is shifting some wafer manufacturing capacity at its Oregon facilities from the advanced 18A process to the older Intel 3 process to boost data center product supply, CNBC reported. The company previously stated that industry-wide supply constraints in areas such as wafers, substrates, and memory made it difficult to meet chip demand. The report noted that 18A is also a key process for Intel to attract external foundry customers, and the resource adjustment could challenge this goal. Intel's stock price fell 45% in October, marking its largest monthly decline on record, CNBC cited FactSet data.
