Lebanon's National News Agency reported that Israeli forces continued intermittent shelling of the outskirts of Mayfadoun and Zawtar ash-Sharqiyah towns in southern Lebanon. Previously, the agency had reported Israeli shelling of Baraachit town and Israeli drone overflights of Tyre city. Al Jazeera noted that despite U.S. officials stating a June framework agreement would "restore Lebanese sovereignty," Israel continues to occupy large areas of southern Lebanon.
