Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers says it will respond “firmly” to any attacks during ongoing hostilities with the Houthis in Yemen. In a meeting chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the council condemned threats to international shipping and energy supplies and called for “urgent” measures to safeguard maritime navigation, the Saudi Press Agency reported. It also reviewed diplomatic efforts with the Gulf Cooperation Council and G20 to strengthen regional stability without “compromising on the defence” of the kingdom.
