Keel liquidates its Bitcoin reserves for $192 million to pivot toward AI data centers, planning to sell daily production of tokens going forward. Digital infrastructure firm Keel Infrastructure, formerly known as Bitfarms, sold 2,520 Bitcoin in the third quarter (including 2,261 held at the start of the quarter and 259 newly mined), cashing out $192 million. As of September 30, its holdings have been reduced to nominal levels. The company stated that Bitcoin mined from its remaining operations in Quebec will be sold on a daily basis going forward to completely eliminate the impact of Bitcoin price volatility on its balance sheet, as it goes all-in on its high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure transformation.
