According to The Jerusalem Post, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has held separate meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss Washington's attempts to revive the Gaza peace board plan proposed by Donald Trump. Blair is expected to meet with Gadi Eisenkot, a potential candidate for Israel's next prime minister, on Friday. The board, announced following an October 2025 ceasefire, was designed to oversee Gaza's governance and ensure long-term security, but it has failed to achieve most of its objectives—including the ceasefire itself—while Israel has yet to allow the Gaza National Administrative Committee to enter the territory, and humanitarian aid remains restricted.
