The heads of three U.S. House committees have requested NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to provide a closed-door briefing regarding his ties to a tech executive accused of being a Chinese intelligence operative. The leaders of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence sent a letter to Huang, demanding his attendance at a joint closed-door session scheduled for November 18 to assess whether U.S. national security is under threat. NVIDIA responded by stating that regional cloud customers only receive standard commercial information and that the matter does not involve sensitive trade secrets or national security.
