Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to discuss regional security and post-war arrangements, and delivered a letter from Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Rezaei said the talks focused on deepening energy cooperation, including a planned gas pipeline from Russia to Iran aimed at addressing Iran's gas shortages and enabling exports to neighboring countries. He reiterated that Tehran would not negotiate with the United States on ending the war or reopening the Strait of Hormuz until Washington met seven conditions. Putin, for his part, reaffirmed Russia's readiness to provide support to help end the war.
