Apple and Meta have rejected tokenized U.S. stock trading initiatives proposed by OKX and ICE, leaving crypto enterprises as the primary target for retention.
Apple and Meta reject tokenized U.S. stock trading plans by OKX and ICE, with crypto firms becoming the primary remaining participants. Among the first 62 selected companies in the tokenized U.S. stock trading initiative launched by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, 56 companies (approximately 90%) have voiced opposition and opted out, spanning sectors such as technology and banking. Companies that have not yet disclosed objections are primarily crypto-related enterprises such as Strategy, Coinbase, Circle, and Robinhood. The initiative was originally designed to provide 24/7 tokenized U.S. stock trading settled in stablecoins.
