The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand has filed a criminal lawsuit against Bitget, accusing the platform of operating without a license and targeting Thai users. It has also notified the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to block Bitget’s website, domain names, and mobile application. Access for Thai users will be cut off on December 5, 2026, and the regulator has urged users to manage and withdraw the assets they hold on the platform before that date. A Bitget spokesperson stated that the company is currently reviewing the announcement and promised to provide guidance on service access changes through official channels.
