TAC Traceability Chain Project Overview
TAC Traceability Chain is a Layer-1 blockchain project focused on utilizing blockchain technology to achieve product traceability and anti-counterfeiting. The project was officially established in 2017, aiming to build a decentralized traceability cloud platform through the immutable distributed ledger characteristics of blockchain. Its core goal is to solve problems faced by enterprises in product production, circulation, distribution, and terminal consumption, such as information opacity, difficulty in anti-counterfeiting, and low marketing efficiency.
The mainnet of TAC Traceability Chain was launched in 2018, along with core components such as the City of a Thousand Stars DApp, Ttoken wallet, and blockchain explorer. Technically, the project combines IoT, QR code, and RFID identification technologies, and possesses cross-chain capabilities, having previously achieved digital assets cross-chain transfers with Ethereum.
Technical Features and Application Scenarios
The technical architecture of TAC Traceability Chain aims to provide an open traceability solution. Through sub-chains and DApp applications of its implemented projects, it offers full lifecycle traceability for various products from source to consumer. Its main application scenarios cover a wide range of industries, including food safety, medicine and health products, maternal and infant products, tobacco and alcohol, luxury cosmetics, publications, and IP derivatives.

In terms of practical implementation, TAC Traceability Chain has launched several demonstration projects, such as "Chain Orange," "Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crabs on Chain," "Singapore Milk Powder Traceability," "Blockchain Rice," and "Bubu Chicken," and has launched a national agricultural product IoT on-chain public service platform. These cases aim to demonstrate the potential of blockchain technology in enhancing product trustworthiness and protecting consumer rights.
It is worth noting that TAC Traceability Chain (No. 186) and its TAS Traceability SAAS system (No. 185) were successfully included in China's first batch of blockchain information service filing list in March 2020, which at the time reflected official recognition of its technology and application potential.
In terms of social welfare, on July 25, 2018, in response to the "fake vaccine" incident that occurred at the time, TAC Traceability Chain launched the "Blockchain Trustworthy Vaccine Public Welfare Project" and released the "Vaccine on-chain Public Service Platform," collaborating with multiple institutions to jointly promote the "Blockchain Vaccine Safety Public Welfare Plan."
TAC Token Information and Market Status
TAC is the native token in the Traceability Chain ecosystem, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Public information shows that its circulating supply is approximately 30% of the total. The project received angel round financing of 7 million RMB and Series A financing of 5 million USD in its early stages (as of August 2018).
However, according to market data as of the time of writing, the TAC token no longer has an active trading market. Its 24-hour trading volume is extremely low, even zero, indicating that the token's liquidity has essentially dried up. The early exchanges mentioned in public information (such as LBank, Longbit, FCoin, etc.) have mostly ceased operations or delisted the token.
Historical data shows that the highest price of the TAC token once reached 0.155 RMB. However, in market evaluations in 2020, its price had fallen to 0.0087 RMB, and community enthusiasm showed a downward trend, with official social media updates being slow. Given the current lack of an active trading market and project updates, the investment risk for TAC tokens is extremely high.
Project Team and Industry Evaluation

The founder and CEO of TAC Traceability Chain is Wang Pengfei, who is considered one of the pioneers in China's early mobile internet field and a serial entrepreneur, having founded Kuai Pai Wu Lian, a company listed on the New Third Board. Core team members mostly come from Kuai Pai Wu Lian, possessing rich experience in startup operation and management, as well as QR code technology services, traceability and anti-counterfeiting, and mobile e-commerce development and operation. CTO Yang Jianxin comes from Jingtong Technology.
The project received support from angel investors such as Tokensky founder Wang Zishang in its early stages and established ecological partnerships with institutions such as the China National Barcode Center and the China Academy of Standardization.
Third-party evaluation agencies pointed out in 2020 that although TAC Traceability Chain's technology in the traceability field was acceptable, it faced fierce competition from internet giants, and project updates were slow, lacking significant progress. They held a cautious attitude towards its future prospects, even suggesting a "zeroing out" risk. ChainDD Research at the time rated the Traceability Chain project as BB, affirming its application scenarios but questioning the team's technical strength.
In summary, TAC Traceability Chain, as an early blockchain traceability project, made some progress in technical exploration and application implementation and received official recognition. However, over time, its token market activity has significantly declined, and project development has stagnated. Investors should be fully aware of the enormous risks involved.
