OXY Token: Oxygen Protocol Overview
OXY is the native token of Oxygen, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. The Oxygen Protocol aims to build institutional-grade prime brokerage services on the Solana blockchain, leveraging Serum's on-chain infrastructure. Its core functionality revolves around a "pools" model, allowing users to lend, borrow, trade, and use assets within the pools as collateral to access more complex financial products.
The project launched its mainnet Alpha in late 2020 and is headquartered in Switzerland. The OXY token is the core driver of the Oxygen Protocol ecosystem, designed to allow its holders to benefit from the protocol's revenue. Specifically, OXY token holders enjoy reduced protocol fees, higher yields when lending assets, lower costs when borrowing assets, and planned staking rewards and participation rights in protocol governance.

OXY Token Market Status and Liquidity
Despite the ambitious vision of the Oxygen Protocol, as of August 19, 2026, the market performance of the OXY token shows extremely low activity.
- Current Price: OXY's price hovers between $0.000281 and $0.000418.
- 24-Hour Trading Volume: As of publication, OXY's 24-hour trading volume is very low, with some data showing zero or only a few hundred dollars, indicating a lack of effective transactions in the market.
- Market Cap: OXY's market capitalization is approximately $11,437 to $84,698.
- Supply: The circulating supply is approximately 200 million to 202.46 million OXY, with a maximum supply of 10 billion OXY.
Given its extremely low trading volume and market activity, the trading market for OXY tokens is almost depleted, lacking effective transactions. For assets with such extremely low liquidity, investors should exercise extreme caution, as price fluctuations can be severe and unpredictable, posing extremely high investment risks.

Oxygen Protocol's Technical Background and Ecosystem Support
The Oxygen Protocol chose the Solana blockchain as its underlying infrastructure to leverage Solana's high throughput and low transaction costs. It also receives support from Serum's on-chain infrastructure, a decentralized exchange (DEX) protocol that provides core liquidity and order book functionality for the Solana ecosystem.
In its early stages, Oxygen received support from multiple parties, including Maps.me's plan to provide initial liquidity for Oxygen through its embedded wallet, as well as support from Alameda Research and several high-frequency trading firms. However, whether this early support and cooperation continue to bring activity to the project is not evident from current trading data.Investment Risk Warning

The OXY token currently faces extremely low liquidity risk. A lack of active trading in the market may make it difficult for investors to buy or sell tokens, and prices may be significantly affected by extremely small trading volumes. Any investment decision should be based on thorough research and a comprehensive assessment of risks. This site does not provide any investment advice.
