ESPORTS (Yooldo) Token Crash Incident Review
On May 25, 2026, the Yooldo ($ESPORTS) token suffered a devastating blow, with its price plummeting over 93% in a single day from approximately $0.69 to a low of about $0.05. This crash resulted in a loss of over $110 million in ESPORTS' market capitalization and sparked strong accusations of a "rug pull" in the market.

ZachXBT's Accusations and On-chain Evidence
Renowned on-chain analysis expert ZachXBT quickly intervened to investigate and pointed out that this crash was not accidental. Through on-chain analysis, he discovered that before the price plunge, wallets associated with the project team engaged in large-scale token transfers and exchange deposit activities. Specifically, approximately 197.8 million ESPORTS tokens (accounting for 43% of the circulating supply at the time) were sold from the team's multi-signature wallet, exchanged for BNB worth approximately $12.7 million to $13.65 million. ZachXBT linked an entity to the alleged manipulation of multiple Binance Smart Chain (BSC) tokens, including ESPORTS, RIVER, and LIGHT, and noted that this entity received vested tokens through Sablier vesting contracts and was associated with the multi-signature signers of LAB.

The CEO of Catze Labs, the developer of Yooldo Games, initially denied involvement in the crash but later admitted to investigating potential insider selling. However, two days after the crash, their development office was found to be almost empty, further intensifying market concerns about insider manipulation.
Market Questions Exchange Due Diligence
The ESPORTS crash also raised questions about the due diligence processes of cryptocurrency exchanges. ZachXBT had publicly questioned Kraken's insufficient due diligence in listing "low-quality, manipulated tokens." Additionally, there were reports that approximately $23 million worth of ESPORTS tokens flowed into the KuCoin exchange. This series of events prompted calls from the industry for exchanges to strengthen listing reviews to protect investors from such manipulative practices.

Other Projects ZachXBT Had Warned About
As an on-chain detective, ZachXBT continuously monitors potential manipulation and fraudulent activities in the cryptocurrency market. In addition to ESPORTS, he has also issued warnings or accusations against the following projects:
- Axiom Exchange (February 2026): ZachXBT accused employees of the Solana trading platform Axiom of abusing internal tools to snoop on users' private wallet data and engage in insider trading.
- RIVER, LIGHT, LAB (May to August 2026): ZachXBT linked the entity involved in the ESPORTS manipulation to the manipulation of RIVER and LIGHT tokens. The LAB token also plummeted after ZachXBT's accusations, with early investors exacerbating the decline through sell-offs.
- Rain Protocol (June 2026): ZachXBT warned traders to stay away from Rain Protocol, stating that he had found suspicious on-chain activity patterns surrounding the project, and pointed out its low user base, limited product appeal, lack of prominent backers, and insufficient team industry history.
- MemeCore (June 2026): ZachXBT criticized the MemeCore project for insider manipulation, which led to its price plummeting over 70%, and questioned the due diligence processes of top exchanges like Binance and Kraken.

Currently, the ESPORTS token has no active trading market, and its trading market has almost dried up, lacking effective transactions.
Crypto Market Manipulation Risks and Investor Warnings

The ESPORTS crash and ZachXBT's warnings about other projects once again highlight the risks of insider manipulation and "exit scams" present in the cryptocurrency market. For investors, conducting thorough due diligence before participating in any project is crucial, including researching the project team's background, tokenomics, on-chain activity, and community reputation. At the same time, paying attention to warnings from reputable on-chain analysts can also help identify potential high-risk projects, thereby better protecting one's assets.
