Bitcoin (BTC), since its inception in 2009, has pioneered decentralized digital currency with its unique design and operating mechanism. The core of the Bitcoin network lies in its decentralized architecture. Unlike traditional financial systems, Bitcoin has no central bank, government, or any single institution controlling it. Users and "miners" worldwide collectively maintain this network by running nodes to verify and record transactions. This distributed management model ensures Bitcoin's censorship resistance and resilience, making it immune to manipulation, shutdown, or policy intervention by any single entity, thereby guaranteeing its operational independence and freedom.

2. Limited Supply and Scarcity
The total supply of Bitcoin is hard-capped at 21 million coins, a limit embedded in its underlying code and unchangeable. This fixed supply is a key component of Bitcoin's value proposition, giving it the attribute of "digital gold" and leading many to view it as an inflation-resistant store of value. Bitcoin's scarcity is further reinforced by "halving" events, which occur approximately every four years and reduce the rate at which new Bitcoins are produced by half, thereby gradually decreasing the new supply on the market. Currently, the vast majority of Bitcoins have been mined, with the remaining portion expected to take over a hundred years to be fully mined.

5. Pseudonymity

Although Bitcoin transaction records are fully transparent on the public blockchain, allowing anyone to view the details of every transaction, this information only displays wallet addresses and does not directly link to users' real identities. Therefore, Bitcoin offers "pseudonymity" rather than complete anonymity. Users control their Bitcoin through private keys, which can be securely stored on various media and are inaccessible to anyone other than the owner. While transaction history is publicly visible, the association between personal identity and these addresses is typically hidden, unless users actively link an address to personal information.
