London data center operator Nscale has officially filed for an IPO with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, seeking to raise up to $3 billion in New York to expand its infrastructure supporting AI hashrate demand. According to the prospectus, NVIDIA holds over 5% of Nscale's non-voting shares. Additionally, AI startup Anthropic has agreed to spend $45 billion to lease AI cloud computing resources from Nscale's Monarch campus. Nscale spun off from its cryptocurrency mining business in early 2024, reporting revenues of $140.6 million and a net loss of $1.02 billion for the six months ended June 30. The company also acquired software startup Anyscale for $1.65 billion in July this year to improve AI hashrate utilization efficiency.
