DIGG Coin: The Evolution of a Bitcoin-Pegged Mechanism
DIGG Coin is an elastic supply cryptocurrency launched by the decentralized autonomous organization Badger DAO. Its initial design aimed to dynamically peg its price to Bitcoin (BTC) through a unique rebase (elastic supply) mechanism, allowing users to gain exposure to Bitcoin's price fluctuations without directly holding Bitcoin.

DIGG's rebase mechanism is a core feature. Daily at 3 PM EST, DIGG's supply is adjusted based on its price relationship with Bitcoin. If DIGG's price is more than 1.05 times the Bitcoin price, the system increases its supply (positive rebase); conversely, if the price is less than 0.95 times the Bitcoin price, the supply decreases (negative rebase), aiming to bring DIGG's price back to parity with BTC. DIGG itself is a non-custodial token, meaning user funds are not held by the project team.
bDIGG and Ecosystem Integration
Within the DIGG ecosystem, users can deposit DIGG into specific Sett Vaults and receive bDIGG tokens as proof of deposit. bDIGG represents a user's share in the rebase DIGG pool; it does not rebase itself, but holders can earn DIGG rewards by providing liquidity. Furthermore, bDIGG can be used in other decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, enhancing its interoperability within the DeFi ecosystem.

Major Shift in Core Mechanism and Market Status
However, the DIGG project has undergone significant developments. According to a series of governance decisions within Badger DAO, DIGG is no longer an elastic supply token, and its rebase mechanism has ceased. Currently, DIGG is in a free-floating state, and its price is no longer algorithmically adjusted to peg to Bitcoin.
This shift has had a profound impact on DIGG's market performance. Currently, DIGG's market liquidity is extremely low. According to recent data, its 24-hour trading volume is only tens of dollars, indicating a severe lack of market activity. While its all-time high price reached $93,637.98 (CoinGecko), the current price fluctuates between $205.52 and $414.01, with discrepancies across different data sources. Its circulating supply is approximately between 570 and 574 DIGG, with a market capitalization of about $110,416 to $118,140. Users can check the latest prices and project information on Svmuu before trading to assess its market condition.

The project has implemented multiple security measures, including data security posture management, data detection and response mechanisms, a unified data protection platform, protective measures against unauthorized access, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.
Badger DAO's Role and Future Outlook
Badger DAO, as the developer and governance body of DIGG, has consistently aimed to integrate Bitcoin into the broader decentralized finance ecosystem. Holders of its governance token, BADGER, can vote on protocol proposals, influencing the project's future direction.

Given the cessation of the rebase mechanism and the current extremely low trading volume, DIGG's future development prospects face significant uncertainty. The market generally believes that the token's current trading market is nearly depleted, lacking effective transactions. For potential participants, this implies extremely high liquidity risk and uncertain value support. Thorough risk assessment and due diligence are essential when considering any DIGG-related activities.
