IOST: Positioning and Development of a Chinese Technology Layer-1 Blockchain
IOST is a high-performance, decentralized blockchain network known for its innovative consensus mechanism and support for enterprise-grade applications. Since its inception, the project has maintained close ties with the Chinese market, demonstrating unique advantages in technology R&D and application implementation. It is committed to promoting the practical application of blockchain technology in various fields such as public utilities, finance, and assets.

Government and Institutional Recognition and Cooperation
IOST has made significant progress in its cooperation with Chinese government agencies. In June 2020, IOST became the first blockchain project invited to lecture at the National Archives Administration of China (NAA), where its co-founder provided an in-depth explanation of blockchain technology development trends and the application of its BaaS platform in maintaining the authenticity of historical evidence. Additionally, in 2019, IOST partnered with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and EHang to provide reliable and secure flight management data. In terms of technical evaluation, the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) ranked IOST's foundational technology first in June 2020, ahead of other smart contract platforms at the time.
Enterprise-Grade Applications and Cloud Service Integration

IOST's Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform is a key product for its enterprise market. By strengthening cooperation with Amazon AWS China, the platform has achieved global deployment and became the first blockchain project to be promoted on AWS China. IOST's BaaS platform supports multi-cloud and multi-chain environments, offering core technologies such as authorization management, smart contracts, privacy protection, and various consensus mechanisms, helping enterprises effectively reduce labor and computing resource costs while improving internal execution efficiency.
Focus on Real World Assets (RWA) and DeFi
IOST's 3.0 roadmap explicitly designates Real World Assets (RWA) as a core development direction, aiming to tokenize traditional financial assets (such as bonds) to achieve borderless, highly liquid, and programmable on-chain assets. Under this strategic guidance, in September 2026, IOST partnered with HyperPocket, a cross-asset intelligent trading platform, to jointly explore new scenarios for AI intelligent trading. Furthermore, IOST has collaborated with DigiFT to promote institutional-grade tokenization and strategically partnered with Aethir to accelerate the development of PayPIN and AI cloud computing, further expanding its application boundaries in DeFi and Web3.

Ecosystem Expansion and Community Building
IOST actively participates in the development of the global Web3 ecosystem, especially in Hong Kong. In April 2023, IOST met with Cyberport Hong Kong and plans to launch the "IOST BaaS Solution" and join the "Cyberport Incubation Programme." At the application level, IOST's blockchain technology has been applied in areas such as fragrance ingredient data and membership authentication. The on-chain ecosystem continues to grow, with the launch of the first Meme platform and the first inscription project, IOSI, attracting a wider range of users.
Network Performance and Scale

The IOST network claims to achieve a processing capacity of up to 8,000 transactions per second (TPS) under optimal conditions, with a target of 100,000 TPS. According to recent data from 2026, IOST has over 2 billion tokenized assets on-chain, more than 14 million active accounts, over 1 billion transactions, and more than 3 million smart contracts deployed. As of April 2023, IOST has over 500,000 community members and over 400 nodes in more than 20 countries worldwide.
IOST Token Trading Channels
IOST tokens can be traded on multiple cryptocurrency exchange platforms. As of September 30, 2026, platforms supporting IOST trading include LBank, Upbit, WhiteBIT, Binance, and OKX. Investors are advised to verify the compliance and liquidity of relevant platforms before trading.
