Furucombo Overview: An Aggregator Simplifying DeFi Strategies

Furucombo is an Ethereum-based Decentralized Finance (DeFi) aggregator designed to enable ordinary users to build and execute complex on-chain trading strategies without writing code, using its unique "cubes" drag-and-drop graphical interface. The platform supports multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum, allowing users to bundle operations from various DeFi protocols into a single transaction. Furucombo's core vision is to lower the barrier to entry for DeFi, enabling more users to leverage advanced strategies such as arbitrage, collateral swaps, and self-liquidation.
Understanding the Flash Loan Mechanism

Flash Loans are an innovation in the decentralized finance space that allows users to borrow large amounts of crypto assets without providing any collateral. The core requirement of this mechanism is that borrowing and repayment must be completed within the same blockchain transaction. If the borrower fails to repay the loan within the same transaction, the entire transaction is automatically rolled back, ensuring the lender's funds are safe and enabling risk-free lending. Flash loans are often used for arbitrage trading, collateral swaps, or liquidations, and are considered one of the most promising technologies in DeFi due to their no-upfront-capital nature. However, flash loans have also been maliciously exploited, becoming a tool for attacking vulnerable DeFi protocols, leading to millions of dollars in losses.
Furucombo's History and Security Incidents

Furucombo officially launched in March 2020 and successfully completed a $1.85 million seed funding round. However, the platform suffered an "evil contract" attack on February 27, 2021, resulting in the theft of approximately $14 million to $15 million in user funds. This attack exploited misconfigured permissions and a malicious contract disguised as Aave v2. The Furucombo team quickly patched the vulnerability after the incident and took measures including updating frontend functionality to only approve spending amounts and redeploying proxy contracts to ensure token authorizations were zero. Aave cubes and flash loan functionalities were temporarily disabled for thorough testing. Despite the security incident, Furucombo was observed being used in some on-chain transaction aggregation scenarios in September 2026, for example, during the Bitget exchange theft incident, attackers used tools like Furucombo to swap assets and disperse Ether.

COMBO Token Status and Market Performance
Furucombo's native token, COMBO, has shown extremely low activity in its market performance. As of September 2026, COMBO's current price is approximately $0.00026 to $0.0003016, a significant drop from its all-time high of $6.97. The token's circulating supply is approximately 100 million. Currently, COMBO's market capitalization is around $26,040 to $36,521. More notably, the Total Value Locked (TVL) in the Furucombo protocol has now dropped to $0, and has decreased by 100% in the past 30 days. Furthermore, the 24-hour trading volume for the COMBO token is extremely low, only about $3.89 to $5.45. These data indicate that the token's trading market is almost depleted, lacking effective transactions, and investors should be wary of its extremely high liquidity risk.
