ADAO Coin Overview

ADAO Coin is the native token of the ADADAO project. ADADAO is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol built on the Cardano blockchain, with the core objective of facilitating the creation of AUSD, a fully collateralized stablecoin primarily collateralized by native assets within the Cardano ecosystem. ADADAO aims to introduce a decentralized, low-volatility stablecoin solution to the Cardano network.

ADADAO Protocol Features and AUSD Stablecoin

The ADADAO protocol boasts several significant features designed to build a robust decentralized stablecoin ecosystem:

  • Decentralization and Smart Contract Driven: The protocol's operations are entirely based on smart contracts, ensuring decentralization and transparency.
  • Interest-Free Lending Model: ADADAO is one of the first stablecoin projects on Cardano to adopt an interest-free lending model, allowing users to generate AUSD stablecoins by collateralizing assets without paying traditional interest.
  • Verifiable Asset Backing: Its stablecoin, AUSD, claims to have verifiable asset backing to ensure its value stability.

Uses and Governance of ADAO Token

The ADAO token plays a dual role of utility and governance within the ADADAO ecosystem:

  • Governance: ADAO token holders possess voting rights, enabling them to participate in modifying and deciding on key protocol parameters, such as collateral ratios, fee structures, and thus influencing the future direction of the protocol.
  • Utility Functions: In addition to governance, ADAO tokens may also be linked to profit-sharing mechanisms generated by the protocol, incentivizing holders to actively participate in ecosystem development.

Project Team and Development History

The ADADAO project was co-founded by several experienced professionals, including Obaid Ul Ahad, Murshid Alam, Irfan Khan, Rizwan Khan, and Md Danish Alam. According to its roadmap, the project had planned an IDO and listing on centralized exchanges (CEXs) in its early stages. The whitepaper and documentation were released in Q1 2023, and Testnet V1 was launched in Q2 2023.
