What is COMBO?

COMBO is an open-source, decentralized Layer-2 scaling network primarily focused on providing infrastructure for Web3 game developers. The project aims to address network congestion and high transaction fees faced by mainnets like Ethereum, offering scalability, fast transactions, and a low-cost environment for gaming applications through its Layer-2 technology.

The history of the COMBO project dates back to August 2019, when it was initially launched under the name "Cocos BCX." On April 11, 2023, the project completed a brand re-establishment, rebranding as COMBO and conducting a token swap, where the original COCOS tokens were exchanged for new COMBO tokens at a 1:1 ratio.

Technical Features and Ecosystem Plan

The COMBO network is designed with the following key features:

  • Integration with Game Engines: Committed to seamless integration with top game engines, lowering the barrier for developers to adopt blockchain technology.
  • Developer Tools: Provides Software Development Kits (SDKs) and other tools to facilitate on-chain gaming assets and smart contract deployment.
  • Cross-chain Interoperability: Initially supports Ethereum and BNB Chain, aiming to enable cross-chain flow of assets and applications.
  • NFT Support: Offers NFT support for in-game assets, items, and collectibles.

According to public information, the project team has set future ecosystem development goals, including further deepening integration with game engines by 2026 and promoting over 100 Web3 games to run on the COMBO network by 2027.

Token Market Data and Current Status

COMBO Coin Analysis: From Cocos BCX to Web3 Gaming Layer2 Evolution

It should be noted that there are significant discrepancies in COMBO token market data across different information sources, reflecting its limited market depth and immature price discovery mechanism.

  • Price: As of mid-October 2026, quotes vary widely across platforms, ranging from approximately $0.00016 to $0.00117, with some platforms even showing zero. This advises investors to exercise extreme caution when referencing prices and to verify the real-time nature and accuracy of data sources.
  • Trading Volume and Market Cap: 24-hour trading volume data shows levels in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars, while market cap estimates range from tens of thousands to less than one hundred thousand dollars, with some major data platforms not providing valid market cap data. This low liquidity means the token price is prone to drastic fluctuations due to small transactions.
  • Supply: The total supply of COMBO tokens is 100 million. Circulating supply data is also inconsistent, with some sources indicating approximately 66 million to 82 million tokens.
  • Historical Price: The token's all-time high occurred in November 2021, reaching over $5, a significant drop compared to the current price.

Trading Channels and Risk Warning

COMBO tokens can be traded on some cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Coinbase and Gate.io. However, given its extremely low trading volume and market capitalization, the market for this token is almost exhausted, lacking effective trading depth, and price information is of low credibility.

Cryptocurrency investment itself carries extremely high risks, with prices potentially fluctuating significantly in a short period, and investors may lose their entire principal. For low-liquidity assets like COMBO, the risks are particularly pronounced. Various price predictions found online (such as those for 2026 or 2030) are based on model assumptions; the market is unpredictable and should not be used as a basis for investment decisions.

When considering any crypto asset, investors should conduct thorough personal research, fully understand the project's fundamentals, technical risks, market risks, and regulatory uncertainties, and only invest funds they can afford to lose entirely.
