Exceeding 500 million tons: Annual cargo throughput at the Xijiang Ship Lock Joint Dispatch Center hits a record high in 2025
In 2025, the cumulative annual cargo throughput of the Xijiang Ship Lock Joint Dispatch System reached 507 million tons, marking the first time annual throughput exceeded 500 million tons and setting a new record, with an average annual growth rate of approximately 8.3%. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the joint dispatch network expanded to include 20 locks across 13 cascade systems, with the cargo throughput of these locks accounting for 99% of the total cargo throughput of inland waterway locks in Guangxi.
