Ukrainian President Zelenskyy condemns Russian missile strikes on residential areas in Kharkiv
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy posted on social media, stating, “Russia has launched a horrific attack on Kharkiv. Preliminary reports indicate that two missiles struck residential buildings directly, with one building suffering severe damage. Rescue operations are currently underway, and all relevant agencies have been urgently mobilized. The exact number of casualties is not yet clear; emergency services, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and the Kharkiv city and regional authorities will continue to provide updates. Unfortunately, this is precisely how Russia treats human life and its people—despite the significant efforts made by the international community, particularly the United States, in the diplomatic process, they continue to inflict death and destruction. Only Russia is unwilling to end this war and is doing everything in its power to sustain daily hostilities. Therefore, the international community must continue to support Ukraine; every day, we must strengthen our air defense capabilities, consolidate our defensive positions, and do everything possible to protect the lives of our people.”
