On the 3rd, the Permanent Mission of Venezuela to the United Nations sent a letter to Abkar Dahir Osman, the Permanent Representative of Somalia to the United Nations and this month’s President of the UN Security Council, strongly condemning the United States’ “brutal, unjustified, and unilateral” armed aggression against Venezuela and putting forward four demands, including the convening of an emergency Security Council meeting. These four demands include: convening an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss the U.S. act of aggression; strongly condemning the U.S. armed aggression against the people and government of Venezuela; demanding that U.S. forces immediately cease armed attacks against Venezuela; and taking necessary measures to hold the U.S. government accountable for its crimes of aggression.
