China National Nuclear Power announced that Unit 2 of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant in Fujian Province, operated by CNNC-Guodian Zhangzhou Energy Co., Ltd. (a company in which the company holds a controlling stake), successfully completed the 168-hour full-power continuous operation test on January 1, 2026, and is now ready for commercial operation. Unit 2 of the Fujian Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant utilizes China’s independently developed “Hualong One” nuclear power technology and has a rated electrical output of 1.212 million kilowatts. With the commissioning of this unit, the number of nuclear power units in operation under the Company’s control has increased to 27, and the installed capacity has risen from 25 million kilowatts to 26.212 million kilowatts.
