Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has announced that, effective January 12, 2026, Beijing Time, individual customers opening accounts for the Gold Savings Program, making voluntary deposits, or setting up new regular investment plans (i.e., “Regular Savings Plans”) must do so through ICBC branches, online banking, or the ICBC mobile app, complete the Bank’s standardized risk assessment questionnaire to evaluate their risk tolerance, obtain a risk tolerance rating of C3 (Balanced) or higher (customers who have already obtained such a rating within its validity period are exempt from retesting), and sign the Gold Accumulation Risk Disclosure Statement (customers who have already signed the statement are exempt from resigning). Individual customers who have already opened a Jicunjin account are not subject to the aforementioned conditions when performing operations such as redeeming or exchanging Jicunjin funds, executing, modifying, or terminating fixed-term investment plans within their validity period, or closing their Jicunjin accounts.
