After Venezuelan President Maduro was captured by the United States and escorted out of the country, his son, Nicolás Maduro Gra, stated that he would offer “unconditional support” to Delcy Rodríguez, who has been declared Venezuela’s interim president. This marks the first time Maduro Gra has publicly backed Rodríguez, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that “Rodríguez will cooperate with Washington” to jointly “make Venezuela great again.”Initially, Rodríguez described the capture of Venezuelan President Maduro by U.S. forces as a “barbaric act,” but later on Sunday evening, she shifted her stance, adopting a more conciliatory tone and calling for cooperation between the United States and Venezuela on relevant issues.
