Shenzhen is moving forward with a closed-loop regulatory system covering the entire electric bicycle supply chain
Currently, the total number of registered electric bicycles in Guangdong Province has exceeded 30 million, and some vehicles remain unregistered and unlicensed. At the same time, traffic accidents involving motorcycles and electric bicycles account for approximately two-thirds of all traffic accidents in the province. According to relevant sources, the various issues and regulatory shortcomings surrounding electric bicycles have long been a hot topic of public discussion. Recently, the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau revealed in a response on the People’s Daily Online leadership message board that Shenzhen is advancing a “full-chain” closed-loop regulatory system for electric bicycles.
